Most of the recent cellular phones produce by vendors such as Samsung are using this type of battery. Li-Ion can be plug into the electric for recharging purpose at anytime.

Lithium Polymer

This type has more power than the other types and is currently available in the market.

Capacity

A cellular phone battery indicates the power of the battery. Typically it is measured as in mAh, it stands for mili-Ampere hours.

As an example, a battery with 900 mAh could load a 900 mili-Ampere, battery can be fully discharge in approximately an hour. The higher of the battery mAh the longer talk time it can be and the longer stand by time it can be expected. The higher capacity takes longer to charge compared to battery with lower capacity.

Manufacturer

There are two types of battery manufacturer:

a.  Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)

Almost every cell phone can be bought as an OEM. It means that the battery was produce by the manufacturer of that cell phone.

b.  Aftermarket

The manufacturer is a different company than the manufacturer of the phone.

An OEM battery is more expensive than the aftermarket battery because people are buying the brand but it is definitely have better quality than the Aftermarket batteries.

Having the Best Deal

Lots of product available in the market and sometimes they offer lower price than the other, but the lowest price may not be suitable for you.

Be careful of what the best price offered to you, as they might be a refurbished stuff.

Before you buy, make sure you information as many as you can about the type of battery you need for your cell phone and try to search at different stores or online stores that you trust.

Ask if they offer warranty or call for their customer care to see how they response to every complaints and make sure if you can contact them in the future.
